Groups are a powerful tool for change, uniquely able to assist people to find a sense of community, self and hope, even when things seem bleak. Joining a group can be a frightening prospect. Most people feel nervous at first. But when a group and a new member are the right match, the experience is deeply rewarding and can change lives.
Groups serve many functions. If you feel uncertain about how to negotiate relationships(friendships, romantic partnerships, familial or professional relationships), worry your experience in life is not shared by others or struggle with persistent anxiety about how others in the world relate to you, then you may find group to be an invaluable resource. In group we build real relationships that can be talked about as they form, expanding our ability to develop the kind of full and lasting attachments we want.
In my practice I run two groups: Chronic Medical Condition Support Group - Tuesday mornings from 9:15AM to 11:45AMGeneral Psychotherapy Group - Tuesday evenings from 7:15PM to 8:45PM
